Yorba Linda CA (SPX) May 11, 2006 Spirent Federal has announced that the U.S. Navy's Naval Air Systems Command PMA209 Common System Integration Lab in Patuxent River, Md., has purchased and taken delivery of a Spirent Simulation System that will be used for testing a variety of GPS Receivers. The systems purchased by Patuxent River include Spirent Federals' GSS7712 L1/L2 simulators, Classified Package, Pseudo M code, Remote Control option, Inertial Interfaces and training. The Inertial Interfaces allow the user to emulate the output of Inertial sensors, while simultaneously simulating the GPS RF signals. This allows users to test combined GPS/Inertial Receivers. "NAVAIR Patuxent River is one of eight Naval Air Systems Command sites that provides the highest standard in warfare technology through supremacy in naval aviation technologies," said Ellen Hall, president of Spirent Federal Systems.
