Sollentuna (SPX) Nov 12, 2006 C2SAT has announced a successful beta test program. The turnkey solution comprises the C2SAT 1.2 m Stabilised VSAT Antenna, Telephone System, Local Area Network (LAN) and Video Conference incorporated into a iDirect satellite communication solution including modem and hub at the teleport ashore. The C2SAT VSAT was installed on the vessel's communications tower for the best boresight towards selected satellite possible at any heading. C2SAT's VSAT easily found any selected satellite within 4 to 8 seconds even during the most harsh conditions in heavy seas in the North Atlantic Ocean. Each first try to catch the correct selected satellite was successful during the seatrial. The C2SAT VSAT verified the detection and identification of selected satellites having signals as weak as 1 dB above the noise floor. C2SAT's VSAT easily found any selected weak satellite surrounded by stronger ones during rough dynamic conditions. The Stabilised Antenna performed and co-operated with all other subsystems in full, during the seatrial. Lars-Uno Bryngeld Captain of GG505 POLAR says: "Initially we had some trimming of the service, but ever since it works like a clock. The crew is thrilled about the possibilities of on-line connection at sea. Once we tried the C2SAT(tm) we cannot survive without it. It is incredibly stable." "The results clarify the maturity of the C2SAT Stabilised Antenna, ready to be launched to the worldwide market. Ongoing marketing activities will proceed. Officially the launch will be at Satellite 2007, February 19 - 22, Washington D.C. ", says Fredrik Hanell, President C2SAT."
